Hey everyone — if you're tired of paying big licensing fees just to run a video sequencer, we feel you. So we built our own and we're giving it away. Introducing MXR, a free video sequencer, live now at www.mxr-labs.com

Currently It's got solid FX, MIDI, and OSC support, and runs right in your browser. We're putting the finishing touches on a standalone Windows version set to drop in a few weeks. And a Mac version a month from now pending Apple's usual gate keeping.

We're also messing around with AI image/video generation for filling gaps in your clip library, plus some early LLM and autonomous-control features (still buggy, very much beta — use at your own risk, feedback welcome).

We also pushed v1.4.1 with more parameters for fine tuning controlNet. RTX 4090s highly recommended for the larger models.

Controlnet Weight = 1.0 (Previously hardcoded)

Controlnet Weight = 0.5

Controlnet Weight = 0.25

There's a new cap FPS feature in the AI tab to allow fine tuning of performance. Dropping the FPS from the previous min of 25 allows more resources to be dedicated to AI.

It's early days and these tools are resource hogs.

22 fps +/- running TensorRT acceleration

14 fps +/1 using XFormers. Quality and prompt coherence is better but at a price.

We also added image input for color img2img mode. Mixing static images or video with real-time 3D creates some crazy results. Lighter areas affect generations more so leaving a section of a 3D scene black will preserve a stable image in that part.

The UI got an update as well. We will also be disabling MXR on the Epic Games Store soon because of a lack of guidance on new rules related to the EU's legislation regarding app stores until we get better guidance on compliance and other legal mumbo jumbo.

MXR IS BROKEN!!!

Hey fam, we've gotten feedback that MX Fusion is broken and only showing a black screen. We made this tutorial to help answer some of your questions.

Running MX Fusion for the first time requires models to download and compile, which is CPU intensive. ETA is about 5 - 15min depending on your internet connection and CPU.

Here are some helpful quick start tips:

Cap the FPS to 25 or 30 in Settings
Keep MXR maximized and in the foreground to increase system resources
Grab a beer and enjoy the ride

This process is required every time a new model is selected i.e. color, depth or selecting a different LCM multi-step LoRA. RTX 30 series cards with more VRAM will have an easier time running larger models. A 4080+ is probably required for TensorRT acceleration.

Once the model is compiled try:

Reducing the first Step Schedule Index to 15
Reduce the Guidance Scale to .1 - .4 for a smoother image
Us modifier prompts like "anime style" or "glossy plastic 3D style" to create different looks
Zoom in and out to find the right level of detail to feed the AI

MXR v1.3 Just Dropped

Hey guys, the update just dropped on Steam and should be live on EGS too.

This version introduces MX Fusion, our GenAI workflow. Instead of writing boring marketing copy we thought maybe ChatGPT could spice things up and make it more edgy. This is what we got. Probably need to tone it down. haha
