If you prefer to spend your money wisely, simply use the free AsciiArt ISF-Shader and transform any clip or videoloop or generator into a great AsciiArt work of fineart with a few possible realtimemanipulations & variations.
In VDMX you can simply load the AsciiArt-ISF shader as an effect, in Resolume you first have to build the Arena/Avenue plugin via Wire by using the ISF-node of Wire. Last was also included in my free Arena/Avenue plugin package, but I have now finished this digiARTproject. But it's very easy to build the plugin yourself if you have Resolume Wire.
& The last chance for you is via the free "ISF-Desktop Editor" which can be found on the VIDVOX website, where the AsciiArt Effect can only be used with the specified pre installed visuals of this editor. You can integrate the result of the ISF-Desktop-Editor to Resolume or wherever via the implementet spout-out of the "ISF Desktop Editor".
