Some great legal sources for free loops (always check if licensing is creative commons or full license, you can pay subscription for even better options but only recommended for bigger projects. In case of artist sites, do donate or support their paid packs) :

Tips about codecs:
DXV is considered best for resolume, outside of resolume HAP is considered best. (although many report HAP works well enough in resolume as well.)
Now that is common knowledge, but if you are working with thousands of loops storage can get overwhelming. In practice ProRes 422 or 422 LT is the middle ground between these and H264. I would keep a large capacity flash drive and just convert those that I really need to for certain projects to HAP or DXV. I usually work with live visuals (shaders/isf) and interactive mapping. So for those LED screen occasions I usually store most of my content in ProRes or even H264 (another tip, you cannot really create or encode mov
files with H264 codec these days easily, H264 codec files are by
default mp4 but you can simply rename the mp4 to mov)

Yes, that's definitely useful, but I see a few links that mostly offer products to buy, so be careful.
By the way, here is the link to my blog and post with 78 free plugins for Arena Resolume (works up from 7.13.2 full or partial up from 7.7) which I published for Easter 2023. Some videoloops/contents (Easter motifs) in .dxv/1080p are also included, everything put together in an arena composition to give you a quick overview.

yeah some of them have sponsored content at top, actually most free content sites do that, this is how they make money. Thanks for the link, I'll check.
QuickTime File Format (".mov") is just the container. I don't have a list of video creation tools and their output options, but you should be able to speedily "remux" an mp4 to mov using ffmpeg (and possibly many other tools).
My favorite software for VJing right now : TOOLL3 , free and open source tooll.io/
