More often then not, its easy to find yourself looking for tools that shape up the work we do. As we work with many files, and parameters in how we interact with them change, new requirements float to the surface so to speak.

I have absolutely no problem putting spotlight onto the tools that are not even there, yet will make a splash when they ready. With this in mind, I'd like to present - Spacedrive. Roll the music!~

What is it you may ask?

Spacedrive is an open source cross-platform file explorer, powered by a virtual distributed filesystem written in Rust. More to it, it has an interesting stack as developers call it - the "PRRTT" stack (Prisma, Rust, React, TypeScript, Tauri). Tauri and Prisma with Rust flavors are basically tools to build smaller, faster, and more secure desktop applications with a web frontend. Efficiency and Speed is the key here.

If all of this just went over your head, its ok. Its often does for me too, yet I see major change in applications development in that space. Space..., get it? :) We sure will see more of that in the future as development moves more in that direction on many fronts. :)

So what can you do now?

Well you got few options... you can ask yourself, why did I spent 2 minutes of my life reading this... or you can jump to spacedrive.com and sign up for the waitlist. It's a decent option.

Or!.. if you are a space cowboy who like to ride the wave before it hits, - you can go straight to the spacedrive github and try to compile this yourself.
